Hell or High Water

Come hell or high water
I’m gonna stay right by your side
even if the mountains collapse
and the oceans collide
For I've seen all the treasures
that a man can behold
but the truth is more precious
than diamonds and gold
I live in the hills
where the cold wind blows
and down in the valley
my Ohio River flows
and up on the hillside
surrounded by trees
is a place that I love
and you know you'll find me
Come hell or high water
I’m gonna stay by your side
even if the mountains collapse
and the oceans collide
For I believe in these things
that I know to be true
and nothing’s more real
than my love for you (my love for you)
Why do people have to hurt and kill each other?
Why do they spread their hate through the land?
Maybe they just need somethin’ to hold onto
and to believe in love’s true plan
Come hell or high water
I’m gonna stay by your side
‘til the mountains collapse
and the oceans collide.
