The Military Commissions Act
tell us, what does it say?
Does it confirm our worst fears
has Habeas Corpus gone away?

Under the guise of fear
the powers use terror as a weapon
to put forth their own agenda
shredding Rights as our Constitution disappears

Tortured in Abu Ghraib
and in secret dungeons and prisons
they mock the Geneva Convention
at Guantanamo Bay

Huddled and naked they cling
to the bars in their cells they're imprisoned
no trial, no justice for the innocent
sreaming out all day

Anyone, even citizens can
now be declared "enemy combatants"
for the fear and propaganda
have made us our own enemy

A knock may come at your door
next you're dragged away kicking and screaming
your children awake from their dreaming
and find that you are gone

Without trial or due process of law
they can detain you forever and ever
away in a secret location
to be tortured forever, nonstop

Then you find yourself chained to the floor
though no "ticking time bomb" is ticking
you're just another ass for the kicking
so they go ahead and beat you some more

Stripped naked, your legs are splayed
"now bring out the plyers", they say
screaming, you confess to their lies
welcome to the new U.S. of A ?!!
